Home Spectors Pay at Closing Agreement

Agreement to Pay Inspection Fee at Closing

You have elected to pay the Total Fee for your home inspection as part of your closing costs. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that the total fee amount will be added to your escrow account and collected by the closing attorney or title company at closing or within 60 days of the inspection date.

Credit Card Requirement & Payment Authorization

To secure this payment arrangement, you are required to provide a valid credit or debit card at the time of scheduling. This card will not be charged at the time of inspection but will be securely held on file.

If payment is not received at closing or within 60 days of the inspection date, you authorize Home Spectors to charge the card on file for the full inspection fee.

Late Payment Terms

If the card on file is declined or payment is not received by the due date, Home Spectors reserves the right to:

Charge interest on the unpaid balance at a rate of 1.5% per month (or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is lower).

Pursue collections or legal action to recover the balance.

Collection Costs & Legal Responsibility

In the event of non-payment, Home Spectors may take necessary steps to collect the unpaid balance, including the use of a collection agency or legal action. You agree to reimburse Home Spectors for any reasonable attorney fees, collection costs, or other expenses incurred in the recovery process.
