Sewer Scope Inspection in Greensboro, NC

See the actual condition of your home's main sewer line before you buy. Family-owned since 2007. Available as a standalone service or as an add-on to a home inspection.

What a sewer scope is

A sewer scope is a video inspection of the main sewer line running from the house to the municipal connection or septic tank. Our inspector inserts a small camera into an accessible cleanout and records the interior condition of the line.

Why homebuyers request one

  • Root intrusion — roots from mature trees are one of the most common causes of blocked or damaged sewer lines.
  • Bellies and sags — sections of pipe that no longer drain by gravity.
  • Cracks, offsets, or collapses — often invisible from the surface.
  • Older piping — Orangeburg, clay, or cast iron lines that are near the end of their service life.

What you receive

  • A video recording of the scope shared through the digital report.
  • Notes on the material, general condition, and any observed defects.
  • A verbal walkthrough with your inspector.

A sewer scope requires an accessible cleanout on the property. If no cleanout is present, we will let you know before the inspection and refund the fee.
